One Laravel Platform for a Coaching Practice's Site, Portals and Ops
An Istanbul student-coaching practice ran on WhatsApp, spreadsheets and memory. We built one Laravel platform that covers the public site and free exam tools, portals for students and parents, and the coach's back office: exams, schedules, sessions and payments.
The challenge
A practice run from one person's head
Senfoni Koçluk is a one-to-one academic coaching practice in Istanbul, preparing students for Turkey's LGS and YKS exams. Schedules, mock-exam results, session notes and payments lived in chats, spreadsheets and the founder's memory.
That capped how many students the practice could take on, and it made adding teachers hard.
Parents want visibility
Coaching works over months, and families pay for progress they can't see directly. Parents needed a clear view of results, schedules and sessions without chasing the coach for updates.
Being found in a crowded local market
Families search for exam-score calculators and neighborhood-level coaching. The practice had nothing online that answered those searches or turned a visit into a first conversation.
Our approach
One codebase, four roles
We built a single Laravel 12 app with role-based access for admins, teachers, parents and students. The public site and the authenticated back office share one database. A lead from the contact form, a tool result and an enrolled student all end up in the same system.
The coach's back office
We modelled the day-to-day work directly: exams with questions and attempts, a review queue, subjects and topics, books, weekly schedules (exported to PDF and sent by email), coaching packages, enrollments and sessions with one-click completion. A finance module tracks per-student lesson prices, payments, expenses and payment reminders. Report cards come out as PDFs, and students, results and payments export to spreadsheets.
Portals for students and parents
Students see their own exams, schedule and sessions. Parents get separate accounts that show each child's results, schedule and session history, plus in-app notifications and announcements from the coach.
Public site built to bring in leads
We built six free browser-based tools: LGS and YKS score calculators, a study-habit test, an exam-readiness scale, a motivation test and a daily study planner. Visitors can have their results emailed to them, and each submission comes in as a lead. Around the tools sit service pages, long-form guides, a blog with categories, tags and RSS, and neighborhood landing pages. Structured data, split XML sitemaps and consent-aware GA4 funnel events (CTA, WhatsApp and tool-completion tracking) are wired in from the start.

A live platform on senfonikocluk.com that serves the public marketing site, six interactive tools, a blog and guide library, 57 local landing pages, and authenticated portals for four roles. Leads, testimonials, FAQs, blog posts and newsletter subscribers are all managed from the same admin.
What it enables
The practice now runs students, exams, schedules, sessions and money in one system rather than in the founder's head. That is the groundwork for bringing in more teachers without losing track of anyone. Parents can check progress themselves, and every tool use or form submission lands as a trackable lead.
Operated by us
We handle hosting, deploys and ongoing development. The app runs on a managed DigitalOcean server behind Cloudflare, with Horizon for queued work such as emails.
