Outdoora: Multi-Vendor Booking Marketplace on WooCommerce
Outdoora sells tickets for camps, treks, yoga retreats and festivals, plus nights at glampings and bungalows, all listed by independent organizers. We built it as a multi-vendor WooCommerce marketplace with ticketing, date-range booking, Turkish payments and vendor tools, and we keep it running.
The challenge
Many organizers, one checkout
Outdoora is a Turkish platform for outdoor experiences. Independent organizers run camps, Lycian Way treks, yoga retreats, rafting trips and festivals, and small hosts rent out bungalows, tiny houses and glamping sites. Each of them needed to list and sell on their own, while customers expected a single place to browse, book and pay.
Events and stays behave differently
An event is a dated ticket with variants such as tent, bungalow or room, and it has to be checked at the gate. A stay is priced per night over a date range the guest chooses. Both had to run through the same cart, payment and legal flow.
Turkish commerce requirements
Sales in Turkey need local card processing with 3D Secure, bank transfer as a fallback, a distance-sales contract accepted at checkout, and buyer identity fields such as national ID number. Organizers also need participant lists they can actually use on the day.
Our approach
Marketplace on proven building blocks
We built the platform on WooCommerce with Dokan for vendor stores and dashboards, and the Listeo directory theme for listings, search and categories. A child theme overrides the Dokan store, product and order templates, and WooCommerce product templates, so vendor pages and listings follow one layout.
Custom logic in our own plugin
Site-specific behavior lives in a custom Outdoora Core plugin and the child theme, not in edited third-party code. The cart is limited to one vendor per order so payouts and contracts stay unambiguous. Saving an event listing syncs its date, time and location to the linked product and turns it into a scannable ticket. Nightly stays use a date-range booking plugin with Turkish labels and per-night pricing.
Organizer exports
We replaced Dokan's default order CSV with one built for event days: buyer name, contact details, city, national ID or passport number, birth date, order notes and payment method. Organizers can also export a listing's booking calendar as a CSV from their dashboard.
Payments, contracts and operations
Checkout supports a Turkish virtual POS with 3D Secure alongside bank transfer, plus a distance-sales contract and extra billing fields. We keep operating the site on a DigitalOcean server behind Cloudflare.

What is live
outdoora.com.tr runs as a working marketplace. The events catalog lists more than 200 products across 15 activity categories, alongside stays in 7 accommodation types. Organizers list through a public "add listing" flow, and there are separate pages for corporate events and partner sign-ups.
What it enables
Organizers sell tickets and stays without their own e-commerce setup, get participant data in a format they can use, and check tickets at the gate. The operator handles contracts, payments and vendor stores in one WordPress admin.
Ongoing work
We handle hosting-level debugging, payment integrations, legal-page updates and theme fixes, and we test plugin upgrades before they reach production, since several core plugins have major version jumps pending.
