Larry: A Trilingual WordPress Site for a Home Care Sensor System

Larry is a camera-free sensor kit and smartphone app that alerts relatives when an older person living alone falls, stays inactive or breaks their routine. We built its WordPress marketing site in English, German and Turkish, with product, FAQ, distributor and legal pages plus a contact form.

Larry: A Trilingual WordPress Site for a Home Care Sensor System

The challenge

A sensitive product that is easy to misread

Larry places battery-powered indoor sensors and an emergency button in the home of someone living alone, and sends real-time alerts to relatives through a smartphone app. Buyers are adult children and care services, and their first questions are about privacy and whether this is just another emergency call button.

The site had to explain the difference clearly: Larry works in the background, detects falls, prolonged inactivity and routine changes without cameras or microphones, and can run alongside an existing emergency call system.

Three markets from day one

The company operates with an EU focus, processes data in Frankfurt and serves German and Turkish-speaking audiences as well as English ones. Every page, including legal pages that German law requires, had to exist in all three languages.

Our approach

One long-form page built around buyer questions

The homepage walks through the product in the order a worried relative thinks: what Larry is, how it keeps someone connected without surveillance, separate benefit lists for the person being cared for and for the caregiver, the behavior insights the app shows over weeks and months, and the product highlights. Overview and installation videos are embedded directly on the page.

An FAQ that handles the objections

An anchored FAQ section answers how the system works, who it suits, how it differs from an emergency call system, privacy and data location, installation requirements, pets and where to buy, so the sales conversation does not have to start from zero.

Trilingual WordPress with Polylang

We built the site on WordPress with Elementor on the StratusX theme, customized through a child theme, and used Polylang for English, German and Turkish versions with hreflang tags and a language switcher in the header. The German version carries its own Impressum and Datenschutz pages.

Simple contact and distribution paths

A Contact Form 7 form protected by hCaptcha handles enquiries, a cookie consent banner covers EU requirements, and a distributors page points buyers to the Amazon listing for the sensor kit.

A clear explanation of a new product category

The site presents Larry as a background assistance system rather than an emergency button, with the privacy position (no camera, no microphone, data processed in Frankfurt) stated up front and repeated in the FAQ.

Localized for its markets

English, German and Turkish visitors each get a full version of the site, with localized page titles, hreflang alternates and legal pages for the German market.

Maintained over time

The site has stayed live since its 2022 launch, with media updates in 2024 and 2025, and runs on a current WordPress release.
