Limex Electric: A Bilingual Lighting Supply Site and Brand Line Card
Build of the website for Limex Electric, an Istanbul lighting supply and specification company. A bilingual (English/Turkish) WordPress and Elementor site with service pages, 17 lighting solution areas, a line card of 100+ represented brands, and a quote request form on every brand page.
The challenge
A distributor's value is its brand portfolio
Limex supplies and specifies lighting, lighting control and emergency lighting products for commercial and government projects. What it sells is access to a long list of manufacturers, so the site had to present more than a hundred represented brands in a way contractors and designers can scan by category.
Technical services that are hard to explain on one page
Budget estimation, specification management and RFI/RFDC and submittal preparation are the work Limex actually does for a project. These needed their own pages, next to the application areas (office, street, tunnel, facade, sport and others) that buyers search by.
Two languages, one team to maintain it
The company works with Turkish clients and international manufacturers, so every page had to exist in English and Turkish, and a small team had to be able to add brands and edit copy without a developer.
Our approach
Theme-based WordPress build
We built the site on WordPress with Elementor, using the Transmax corporate theme customised through a child theme. Header and footer are shared Elementor templates, so layout changes are made once and apply across every page.
Brands as a content type, not a static list
Each represented brand is its own post (the theme's team post type, grouped by a category taxonomy) with a name, category and short company description. The Line Card page lists them in three tabs (Lighting Product, Lighting Control and Emergency Lighting brands), and adding a brand is a matter of creating one post.
A quote form on every brand page
Every brand page ends with a Contact Form 7 quote request asking for name, company, email, phone and the product or service needed, so an enquiry arrives already tied to a manufacturer. The contact page has a general form and a map embed, and Akismet's honeypot fields filter spam.
English and Turkish with Polylang
Polylang serves /en/ and /tr/ versions of all pages and brand entries, sets hreflang tags including x-default, and redirects the root domain by browser language. WordPress core generates per-language XML sitemaps.

Results
The line card is the site's backbone
The site has 9 pages per language plus a page for each represented brand; the sitemap lists 105 brand entries in each language. Services, solutions and brand pages link into each other, and every brand page offers a direct quote request.
Maintained by the client
Pages and brand entries are edited in Elementor and the WordPress admin. The Line Card, contact page and homepage were updated through 2023 and into 2024 without a rebuild.
Bilingual from the same install
English and Turkish versions share one WordPress install, one set of templates and one brand database, so the two languages stay structurally in sync.
