Kılavuz Görsel: A Bilingual Site and Product Catalogue for a Flag and Print Maker

Website build for Kılavuz Görsel Çözümler, an Istanbul flag, print and advertising producer founded in 1995. We built a Turkish and English WordPress site with service and company pages and a flagpole page. It has a product catalogue of 29 categories across four product lines, and a PDF catalogue you can page through.

The challenge

Four businesses under one name

Kılavuz started as a flag maker and grew into digital printing, promotional products and event work. The site had to show flags, advertising work, promotional items and event services side by side. It could not turn into one long list.

A catalogue, not a shop

Customers order in bulk and usually need a quote. So products had to be shown with categories and photos, but without prices or a checkout. Visitors also asked for the printed catalogue, so it had to be readable on the site.

Turkish and English audiences

The company works with clients in Türkiye and takes part in international fairs. So the main pages had to exist in both Turkish and English.

Our approach

Theme-based WordPress build

We built the site on WordPress with WPBakery Page Builder, using the Ekko theme, adjusted through a child theme. Pages for the company, services, flagpoles, products and contact share one header with the phone number, working hours and a contact button.

WooCommerce as a product catalogue

Products are WooCommerce items grouped under four main categories: flags, advertising, promotion and organisation. A catalogue-mode plugin hides prices and the cart. So each category page works like a gallery, with a sidebar that lists all product categories.

Catalogue, forms and contact

The printed catalogue is embedded as a PDF flipbook on its own page. Contact Form 7 runs the enquiry forms, a WhatsApp button sits on every page, and Complianz handles cookie consent.

Two languages from one install

WP Multilang shows /tr/ and /en/ versions of the pages from the same install, with a flag switcher in the main menu.

Results

What is running today

Every product line has its place

The products page splits into four tabs and 29 categories. They run from Turkish and desk flags to stadium work and promotional items, and each has its own category page.

Updated by the client

Company news, such as a 2025 trade fair, has been added to the homepage through the WordPress admin. The catalogue and product categories are edited without a developer.

Bilingual from the same install

Turkish and English versions share one WordPress install, one theme and one product database.
