İspanyolcu: a Spanish learning platform for Turkish speakers

İspanyolcu is our own product: a Turkish-language platform for learning Spanish. It brings together free lessons, everyday dialogues, translated song lyrics, interactive tools and a Q&A community. We build and run all of it ourselves.

The challenge

Spanish resources rarely speak Turkish

Most Spanish courses and apps explain grammar through English. Turkish speakers who want to learn Spanish end up translating twice, or piecing things together from scattered blog posts and videos.

Learners need more than a lesson list

Grammar alone doesn't keep people going. Learners want to hear the language in songs and real conversations, check their level, drill vocabulary and ask questions when they get stuck. All of that had to live in one place and in one voice.

Content that keeps growing

Lessons, dialogues, songs, culture articles and guides are added over time. Each type needed its own structure, levels and filters, so that a growing library stays easy to browse instead of turning into an archive.

Our approach

One platform, many content types

The site runs on Laravel with Blade and Alpine.js. Lessons, dialogues, song lyrics, culture articles, blog posts and questions each have their own structure, level tags, categories and listing pages. Every listing shares the same search and filter bar.

Learning through songs and conversation

Song pages present Spanish lyrics line by line with Turkish translations and vocabulary notes. They can be filtered by level (A1–A2, B1, B2+) and by genre. Dialogues cover everyday situations such as ordering food or asking for directions, also grouped by level.

Tools and community

Interactive tools sit next to the content: a verb conjugator, word matching, a number converter, flashcards, quizzes and a level test. A Q&A section, user accounts and a newsletter sit alongside them, so learners can ask questions when they get stuck.

Results

What is running today

A complete Spanish library in Turkish

İspanyolcu is live with 40 free lessons across three levels, more than 60 dialogues and more than 100 translated songs from over 83 artists in more than 23 countries. Guides cover grammar, vocabulary, speaking and the DELE and SIELE exams.

Tools learners can use straight away

The verb conjugator, word matching, number converter and level test work without leaving the site. Next to them sit 67 flashcard sets with 1,370 cards and 61 quizzes with 747 questions.

A product we keep running

Culture articles, a blog, a Q&A community and newsletter sign-up sit around the core library, and new content keeps being added to the same structure.
