The Challenge

An Iconic Restaurant Fading from the Digital Map

For more than two decades, Snapper's Seafood has been serving signature Red Snapper with Crawfish Sauce, Blackened Redfish, and steaming bowls of Gumbo from their prime Canal Street location in the French Quarter. The restaurant had earned its reputation through exceptional food and word of mouth. But the digital landscape had shifted dramatically around them.

Newer restaurants with modern websites and aggressive social media strategies were dominating Google search results for queries like "seafood restaurant French Quarter" and "best gumbo New Orleans." Food delivery platforms were capturing an increasing share of search traffic, pushing Snapper's organic listings further down the page.

The existing WordPress site was slow to load, not optimized for mobile, and lacked structured data. Menu items were embedded as images rather than crawlable text, and the site had no reservation integration. Google Business Profile was outdated with inconsistent hours and unmanaged reviews.

Despite being steps away from some of New Orleans' busiest tourist corridors, Snapper's was invisible to the thousands of visitors searching "restaurants near me" on their phones every day.

Our Strategy

A Full Digital Overhaul Built for Local Dominance

Reactll began with a comprehensive local SEO audit that mapped Snapper's competitive landscape across Google Search, Google Maps, and major food directories. We identified 47 high-intent keywords where the restaurant had lost ground and built a phased strategy targeting website performance, local search optimization, and reputation management.

The website was completely redesigned on WordPress/Elementor to deliver a dramatically faster, mobile-first experience. We implemented lazy-loaded imagery, built a fully crawlable HTML menu with Menu schema markup, and integrated an online reservation system. Page load times dropped from 8.2 seconds to under 2 seconds on mobile.

Google Business Profile & Review Management

We executed a complete GBP optimization: accurate NAP data across 38 directories, strategic category selection, weekly Google Posts, and over 60 professional photos. We implemented an automated review management workflow — follow-up emails encouraged satisfied diners to leave reviews, while the team responded to every review within 24 hours.

Tourist-Targeted Landing Pages

We created locally-optimized landing pages targeting searches like "where to eat in the French Quarter" and "best seafood near Bourbon Street." Each page featured unique content, embedded Google Maps, and FAQ schema answering the exact questions tourists type into their phones.

The Results

Back in the 3-Pack and Busier Than Ever

Within 90 days of launching the redesigned site, Snapper's climbed into the Google Maps local 3-pack for 12 of their 15 primary keywords, including "seafood restaurant French Quarter" and "Cajun restaurant New Orleans." Organic search traffic increased by 214%, with mobile sessions growing at 267%.

Google Business Profile insights showed a 183% increase in direction requests and a 241% increase in calls. The integrated reservation system processed over 1,200 bookings in its first quarter — a 156% increase over the phone-only baseline.

The review management strategy transformed their online reputation. Google rating improved from 3.9 to 4.4 stars within six months, with review volume increasing by 312%. The combination of higher ratings and more reviews created a compounding visibility effect.

The owner reported that first-time diners now regularly mention finding the restaurant through Google search or Maps — a channel that had nearly dried up before the engagement. With a 20-year legacy and now a digital presence to match, Snapper's Seafood is positioned to thrive for decades to come.
